Denim & Blue

Elementz Blazer, Top (similar), Denim, Ann Marino Heels, Clutch (similar), J. Simpson SunniesRussian Red MAC Lipstick

I've recently been obsessing over blazers so anytime I see one for a good price, I snatch it. I purchased this one from Goodwill for only $3.69! I was ecstatic when I saw it because it still had its $60 tag on from Macy's. I love this one because it is really lightweight and I can wear it in the Florida heat without dripping of sweat. I used to not be a fan of Goodwill because of the smell they all have and I always felt dirty when I leave there (I still do) but I promise you can find some really good pieces in there if you look for them!
These shorts used to be boyfriend jeans but instead I turned them into one of my favorite summer denim go-to's! First thing I did was cut them the length I wanted. I created the 'destroyed' look by using a utility knifeSecond, I placed the remaining scraps of denim in between in the front of the short and the back so when I sliced them it would not cut through to the back. Third, I just went back and forth on the denim as if I was slicing open the tape on a package. You have to put a little muscle into it but it pays off! I love creating my own destroyed look because I get to choose how much of the denim I want shredded. Finally, I threw them in the wash so the tear would have the snaggy look and the pieces on the edge would fall!

Memorial Day

I have lived in the Orlando area for over 10 years and I rarely go downtown so today I went exploring and found such cool and unique places, especially for photos so sorry about all the different backgrounds, I couldn't help myself lol!
I love to dress for the occasion when it comes to Fourth of July and Memorial Day. I just purchased this tote from Nordstrom during their half-yearly sale. They have incredible deals going on so be sure to stop by their website to save up to 40% off! This tote is great because it is reversible so it can serve as two colors and it is very lightweight. I also just recently purchased this dress for my trip to Mexico in October but it went perfect for the occasion so I wore it earlier than I expected. Dressing up for the red, white and blue holidays can sometimes get tacky looking so I especially love this look because it can be worn on a normal day without anyone thinking Fourth of July.
I hope you all had a great Memorial Day Weekend!

How To Pack your Jewelry

Now that I am in college I am always packing and unpacking, between visiting home for the weekend or moving into a different apartment. I am constantly trying to find simple DIY things that will make moving less stressful. Necklaces, well just any jewelry in general, is the biggest pain in my butt to move because they are so delicate and I never know what to do with them. When my roommate was moving out she taught me this trick that has made my life so much easier. She had Glad Press'n Seal and she placed her necklaces on it and put another sheet over it. I gave it a try and now I am never moving my necklaces any other way because this is the easiest and fastest way. It doesn't make your jewelry sticky when you take it out and you can fold/roll them up to maximize your space as seen in picture one.

Cinco de Mayo

Forever21 Blouse, Similar Denim Skirt, Nordstrom Crossbody (similar), Alex & Ani Bracelet, Bourbon & Boweties Bracelet), Nordstrom Earrings (similar), DSW Chunky Heels, Vintage Belt (similar

Happy Cinco de Mayo! I didn't go all out because I didn't do anything special or extravagant, I just went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant with my mom. I love having an older mom because she passes things down to me that she used to wear at my age like this belt! I thought this belt went perfect for the occasion because it has a Mexican feel to it. I wanted to add some color to my look because when I think of Cinco de Mayo I think of bright colors so I wore my favorite bright earrings that matched perfectly with my Bourbon & Boweties bracelet!
